Born of Love, Light Within | Inclusion Factory Open Day & UShine Sharing Session Held Successfully
This month, we hosted the “Born of Love, Light Within” – Inclusion Factory Open Day & UShine Sharing Session.
The event was designed to build a bridge between volunteers, families, and the public, offering a clearer and more direct understanding of employment and support for people with intellectual disabilities. In a short time, we wanted to bring everyone closer to the real lives of those who work and grow here with dedication.
In the first session, we introduced the founding vision of Inclusion Factory, the production line work model for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and examples of how we operate as a social enterprise.
After that, the head of UShine shared the relationship between the two organizations, and elaborated on our core support services, including vocational transition, family support, and community integration.
Beyond employment, we also emphasized companionship in daily life – helping individuals gradually improve their independent living skills. We also explained how volunteers and families can get involved or seek support.

A Song to Share
Following the introduction, a special performance brought a warm highlight to the session. A choir made up of individuals with intellectual disabilities sang “You Are the One I Cherish for Life.” This song was also a showcase of our Orff Music Support Program. Their performance was heartfelt and moving, and the audience responded with warm applause.

The Open Day was not just about listening and watching – we also offered hands-on experiences. Guests walked through the factory floor and had the chance to try out the tasks our employees do every day.

By using a combination of fully automatic and semi-automatic machines, we have effectively improved production efficiency. This also gave guests a tangible sense of how technology supports individuals with disabilities.
Throughout the tour, we also encouraged questions and open conversation, allowing for deeper interaction and real-time understanding.

This Open Day was not just about sharing information – it was about building relationships. When volunteers and families saw the focus and dedication of our employees, and when they experienced the products and processes firsthand, the abstract idea of “inclusion” became concrete.
Music, dialogue, hands-on practice, and open sharing – all these small moments brought people closer together. They reminded us that understanding begins with seeing, and support begins with stepping closer. Born of love, light within. We look forward to welcoming more companions to walk this path of inclusion with us.
