Inclusion Factory Shares Experience and Explores Pathways for Disability Services Development at the 18th China Disability Affairs Forum
From October 26 to 27, 2024, the 18th China Disability Affairs Development Forum was successfully held in Tianjin. This forum was jointly hosted by the China Disabled Persons’ Federation (CDPF), Nankai University, and the Disability Affairs Development Research Association, with the theme of “Improving the Social Security System and Care Service System for People with Disabilities.”
Hu Xiangyang, a member of the CDPF Party Group and Vice Chairman, pointed out that China’s disability sector has achieved historic accomplishments, but the保障 (security) and services for people with disabilities still need further improvement. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to strengthen reform and innovation efforts, ensure a basic safety net, improve service quality and efficiency, build capacity, promote system integration, and fully leverage technology to accelerate the improvement of the social security and care service systems for people with disabilities. This will provide strong support for the comprehensive development of disability affairs in the process of Chinese-style modernization, continually improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.
The forum invited 13 distinguished guests and experts to give keynote speeches and hosted a roundtable dialogue on promoting the development of the disability services industry. Six sub-forums were also organized to discuss topics such as “The New Era’s Concept of Disability and the Modernization of Disability Affairs,” “Disability Social Security and Income Distribution,” “High-Quality Development of Disability Services,” “Protecting and Promoting Disability Employment,” “Inclusive Education and Cultural and Sports Development,” and “Social Organization Activities and Social Innovation.”

Dr. Jia Ying, General Manager of Inclusion Factory, was honored to attend the forum. On the afternoon of October 26, during a special seminar on “Promoting the Development of Disability Services,” Dr. Jia shared the practical experience and initiatives of Inclusion Factory in this field. Dr. Jia’s speech not only provided a comprehensive summary of Inclusion Factory’s years of exploration and practice in the disability services sector but also expressed a positive attitude and unwavering efforts toward improving the quality of life for people with disabilities and promoting social integration.
