From October 26 to 27, 2024, the 18th China Disability Affairs Development Forum was successfully held in Tianjin. This forum was jointly hosted by the China Disabled Persons’ Federation (CDPF), Nankai University, and the Disability Affairs Development Research Association, with the theme of “Improving the Social Security System and Care Service System for People with Disabilities.”<\/p>\n

Hu Xiangyang, a member of the CDPF Party Group and Vice Chairman, pointed out that China\u2019s disability sector has achieved historic accomplishments, but the\u4fdd\u969c (security) and services for people with disabilities still need further improvement. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to strengthen reform and innovation efforts, ensure a basic safety net, improve service quality and efficiency, build capacity, promote system integration, and fully leverage technology to accelerate the improvement of the social security and care service systems for people with disabilities. This will provide strong support for the comprehensive development of disability affairs in the process of Chinese-style modernization, continually improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.<\/p>\n

The forum invited 13 distinguished guests and experts to give keynote speeches and hosted a roundtable dialogue on promoting the development of the disability services industry. Six sub-forums were also organized to discuss topics such as \u201cThe New Era\u2019s Concept of Disability and the Modernization of Disability Affairs,\u201d \u201cDisability Social Security and Income Distribution,\u201d \u201cHigh-Quality Development of Disability Services,\u201d \u201cProtecting and Promoting Disability Employment,\u201d \u201cInclusive Education and Cultural and Sports Development,\u201d and \u201cSocial Organization Activities and Social Innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Jia Ying, General Manager of Inclusion Factory, was honored to attend the forum. On the afternoon of October 26, during a special seminar on “Promoting the Development of Disability Services,” Dr. Jia shared the practical experience and initiatives of Inclusion Factory in this field. Dr. Jia\u2019s speech not only provided a comprehensive summary of Inclusion Factory\u2019s years of exploration and practice in the disability services sector but also expressed a positive attitude and unwavering efforts toward improving the quality of life for people with disabilities and promoting social integration.<\/p>\n

Through this sharing, Inclusion Factory showcased several real cases and accumulated experience in promoting high-quality development in the disability services industry. The forum also gained valuable insights and reflections from the front lines of practice. We deeply understand that every step of progress is inseparable from the efforts and support of all sectors of society.
